NIOS admission for secondary and higher secondary

National Institute of open school is one of the most popular and biggest national board of secondary education in the country. Lots of students enrolled in the institute every year due to the modern approach to the traditional education system in India. It is established in the year 1989, an autonomous body of government of India. The examinations are similar to CISCE and CBSE at secondary and higher secondary levels in NIOS.

The institute provides the course materials and encourages the students to self-study. The national board allows the student to appear for the subject only in which the learner has taken admission in, through On-demand examinations. It is an ideal platform for students who are interested in subject wise learning. Additionally, it provides a great opportunity for the dropped off students.

The board provides courses to students belonging from both rural and urban areas of Punjab. NIOS 10th admission in Punjab and NIOS 12th admission in Punjab are initiated through online. Eligibility criteria

The eligible candidates can apply online for secondary and senior secondary courses.

For secondary course:

  • The age of the candidate has to be 14 years.
  • He/she has to pass in 8th class and should have a mark sheet of that.

For senior secondary:

  • The age of the applicant has to be 15 years.
  • The student should have a secondary education certificate from a recognized board.

The candidate has to have all the essential documents required to apply online for admission in NIOS. All the applicants should apply within the last date of the application online. Online registration and applying are easy and user-friendly in the official portal.

  • The interested candidates can visit the website and go through the online portal to fill the form with required documents.
  • You have registered in the portal first, and then fill all the necessary details like phone number, email ID, etc. in the required field.
  • Proceed to the uploading document step and upload all the scanned copies of the necessary documents.
  • Select your preferred subject and study center details; after that; you will be redirected to the payment page.
  • There you can pay online via all kinds of credit and debit cards or net banking.

You have to fill all the details correctly to avoid the chance of cancellation of the admission in NIOS. So, make sure your application is filled appropriately as per the instruction. Students have the option to choose their preferred subject in NIOS.

The National Institute of open schooling has collaborated with UNESCO and COL (Commonwealth of Learning). Additionally, it has study centers outside of India for the Indian expatriates. In India, the board has regional offices in almost every state. It is the largest national board that provides education through open schooling to all the students in all regions.
